Reading will begin with home made
materials in the Montessori fashion. |
There are no other required texts.
There is a suggested reading list at the end of each subject for each
month. |

After a few months, we'll be
following the "Bob Books" Series for reading. These can be found
easily at any Borders or Barnes and Noble, specialty book shop or
online. Please buy the series A to begin. |
General Material needs are:
crayons, markers, scissors, glue, brown lunch bags, dry beans or
cheerios, pencils, manuscript paper, a printer for your computer and
washable paint. |
The Kindergarten program
(based on 36 weeks) is based on Thematic Units to teach the

The
curriculum is set up to be child led and fun.
This is the basic outline as I will be using the books, websites
and printables as part of
the learning base, so months will vary. I encourage you to read to your child and read often.
All
reading books should be able to be found in your local library.
All worksheets will be provided and any other coloring sheets. You
will need to buy the basic art supplies; crayons, paints, markers,
glue and construction paper (various colors).
Also a notebook is nice if you are keeping records for your state. Be aware, there will be a lot of printing involved.
